SEC Sarbanes Controller
Reports to CFO. Functional responsibilities include banking and cash management, AP,AR, GL accounting, taxes, monthly management reporting
and external SEC reporting. Manage small staff.
Essential Duties
- Prepare and report monthly financial statements
- Ensure accurate and consistent application of accounting policies
- Provide balance sheet forecasts and assist in budgets and long range cash forecasts
- Ensure timely reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts
- Clean up and resolve issues promptly
- Manage and develop direct reports
- Ensure adequate controls in place to ensure proper safeguards of company assets
- Build and maintain relationships with key vendors and customers
- Manage the company's receivables and payables
- Draft SEC filings,including 10q's and 10k
- Interface with external auditors
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in accounting/finance
- CPA preferred, excellent understanding of GAAP; SEC reporting
- Proficient in Excel, Word, Powerpoint
- Sarbanes-Oxley experience, at least 7 years experience including 3 in management in a financial accounting environment
- MAS 90 or similar hands on G/L software experience
- Some public accounting preferred
